ESX2. The beautifuls return again. 2025., 2026. Algorithm-driven, generative AI video installation.

The exhibition is guided by an algorithm. When the viewer stands in front of the stand and phone, a portrait of the viewer is taken using computer vision, from which a transformation video is generated using AI. The finished video is included in the overall AI stream after 2 minutes.

The second way the exhibition interacts with the viewer: Viewers can order their own ESX2 transformation video, similar to the one seen in the exhibition, for their social media and/or display at the exhibition, and receive a co-authorship certificate.

The video is generated from your photo – a portrait on a white wall background. The video is approximately 1 minute long. You send the photo and place the order using the application, which you download using the QR code (https://artistree.io/gintsgabrans). The fee for creating an individual video is 50 euros.

The co-authorship certificate will be sent to you by Gintas Gabrāns electronically signed with a secure electronic signature containing a time stamp.

The installation ESX explores human interaction with artificial intelligence and algorithmic systems, as well as the human relationships shaped and influenced by them. In this sense, it can be seen as an artist’s attempt to create a “portrait of the contemporary”– a reflection on technology’s impact on society at large and the ways it reverberates through culture, including its influence on artistic production itself.
